European Roulette Wheel

Roulette is one of the most popular games played in casinos. The roulette wheels have been in the game since it was invented by Blaise Pascal. As the game made its way around the world, some countries added their twist to the game. One of the first changes was in Europe, where a single zero pocket was added to the roulette wheel. This variation became known as European roulette. This European roulette guide will explain the European roulette wheel, table, strategy, rules, and payouts.

European Roulette Table & Wheel

The European roulette table has 37 numbers starting with zero then 1 to 36. The numbers 1 to 36 are divided into red and black numbers. Each of the numbers face towards the inner side of the roulette wheel.

To the right of the zero there are nine small numbers in black (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17), and then nine big numbers in red (19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 32, 34, 36). To the left there are nine numbers in black, (20, 22, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35) and then there are nine numbers in red, (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 16, 18).
